1962 Austin-Healey 3000 Mark 2 BT7
Well Kept and Preserved Kurt Tanner Restoration
Big Healeys are an absolute thrill to drive and we have a lovely example on offer. Finished in Colorado Red with a Black Interior this 3000 Mark 2 BT7 received a concours level restoration from Marque expert Kurt Tanner a little over 10 years ago. The car has changed hands a few times over the past decade; however, it has always remained under the ownership of a vintage car collector and enthusiast, never leaving the southwest and only travelling approximately 1,000 miles since restoration. As a result, the car is still in remarkable condition throughout. All cosmetic details are in exceptional condition including the undercarriage. A leather bound book documenting the restoration and a British Heritage Certificate accompany the sale. 1962 was the only year in which these car were offered with triple carberutors, so these particular Big Healeys are coveted by collectors. In top mechanical condition, all of the desirable driving characteristics are present. A well-sorted 3000 offers a rewarding and visceral driving experience, and this particular example is no exception.
