Arranged like sculpture throughout the gallery are beautifully restored classic collectible cars.  They excite us with their sleek dynamic forms, rich detailing and enormous fantasy potential.  This combination of fine art and design reveals an unexpected and powerful synergy.

Michael Zenreich

"Who's Afraid of Red, Yellow, and Blue"

Works on Paper

About The Artist:

Many artists are late bloomers—the practicalities of “real” life outweighing the pursuit of their creative endeavors. Michael Zenreich is one such example. A graduate of Pratt (BFA 1974), Zenreich’s passions were painting and photography.

Choice and circumstance led him to instead pursue an architecture degree at Yale, and he soon opened a burgeoning practice. Now, over 30 years after leaving Pratt and opening his namesake firm, Michael is having his first show. The works showcase experience—both life and work, and like any artist’s best work, are created purely for pleasure and personal expression.

These paintings explore the tension between order and chaos by using color interaction and random strokes over a structure of mathematical possibilities and precision.
