Today Cooper Classics presents what is one of the rarest 356s on the market. This Convertible D one of 477 Supers ever built. Presented with its matching numbers Super engine, which at some point was separated from the car. Our team was able to track down the original matching numbers engine (as per COA), which is in excellent condition with good compression test results and a video of it running in hand. Currently installed is a correct type 356A engine, which is also in excellent condition and runs very well. The engine in the car received a full rebuild in 2009, and has had 10 miles on the odometer since completion. Both will accompany the sale of the car. The exterior wears an older Ruby Red paint job, and according to the CoA was originally Silver. The interior presents as new in beautiful tan leather. The transmission shifts smoothly, and the brakes stop effectively. Mechanically, the car is in excellent condition. One caring owner used and cherished the car from 2006 until the point we acquired it, and the sale comes with all records of his ownership and maintenance. This car taken to the next level represents serious investment value, and we think would represent the top of the 356 Convertible D Market.
