Factory equipped with a 4 Speed Manual, this is one of just 125 280SE 3.5 Coupes ever built with a manual, as confirmed by its chassis number. This Italian delivery, European Market 280SE 3.5 Coupe was delivered new to Milan Italy, as per its original owners handbook and service booklet. Enclosed in these booklets are the original owners name, and the engine and chassis numbers. This 3.5 was subsequently imported into the USA in 1986. This is a matching numbers car as per the owners booklets and service booklet. Originally delivered in Moss Green Metallic, this 280SE now wears a beautiful, older, incredibly thorough (there are no traces of the original color) paint job in Midnight Blue (DB-904), and features a fantastic original interior, with materials that are long gone and cannot be replicated, such as the beautiful Roser Cognac and original carpeting. Luckily, this car received a full wood restoration performed by Madera Concepts, leaving all of the wood looking glossy and beautiful. The Ivory steering wheel is crack free and presents as new. At some point in this cars life, the front windows were converted to electric, from manual. This 280SE 3.5 retains almost unbelievable levels of originality throughout the car, all the while being in great condition. The manual transmission is the key to unlock the full potential of the wonderful 3.5 V8 engine, amongst thousands of automatic examples. This 3.5 is the ultimate grand touring car, all while retaining the uber-desirable manual transmission. Recently serviced by us, this 3.5 is running excellent and ready to be enjoyed by its next owner.
