This is a beautiful signal red 1971 Mercedes-Benz 280 Sl with a black interior and desirable 4 speed manual transmission. With only 830 produced in 1971, this car represents the final year of the W113 Pagoda Sl, making it the most collectible and desirable. This particular 280 Sl is in great original condition. With the exception of a respray in the original color in 2013, a new soft top and the desirable European style headlights, the car's originality has been preserved very well.

The previous owner purchased the car for his parents in California, with just 62k original miles. The previous owner's father took excellent care of the car. He had the car regularly maintained using correct Mercedes parts, and kept the car in his garage and only drove it on sunny days. The previous owner took ownership of the car from his parents in 2013 when it was refreshed with the new paint and soft top and driven a few hundred miles each year. The car was recently used in a Tommy Hilfiger commercial featuring Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton.
